Stanley Commercial Club Events:
Fourth of July Parade
The 4th of July celebration typically includes a band in the park over the weekend along with a 5K Run/walk, Lip-sync Contest, Art in the park, volleyball & corn hole tournaments, etc.
On the 4th of July there is a parade (kiddie parade starts at 10:30 am with the full parade at 11:00). The parade takes place along Main St & 6th Ave.
Parade is followed by lunch in the park (served by the Women of Today), free swimming at the outdoor pool, inflatables by River of Life church and the classic car show.
Fireworks are shot off at the Fair Building at dusk by the Stanley Fire Department.
Beer Fest is typically held in the spring and is a beer tasting event. Along with the beer tasting, there are is a raffle. There is also a variety of door prizes, music and food.
The Wine Walk is in August every year and is held at downtown businesses. Participating businesses serve wine samples along with a paired food. Participants walk from business to business tasting and then we do door prizes afterwards at The Leader.

Sept – Rib Cook-off (with the Sheriff’s Dept & Farm Bureau) – held at the Fair Building. Teams from across the region compete for the title, Best Ribs in 3 categories. Open to the public to come eat after the ribs are judged.
Sept – Customer Appreciation
Oct – Trail of Treats – trick or treating at local businesses
Nov – Parade of Lights – Sat after Thanksgiving
Dec – Christmas Stroll – local businesses have specials and goodies for shoppers
Dec – Santa Days – Free Santa Pictures at Ace Hardware, cookie decorating at BNC, and Free Movie at the theater
